RKA was proud to play a key role in delivering Ontario's first full synthetic turf outdoor baseball field — a landmark public-private partnership between the Municipality of Thames Centre and the Great Lake Canadians baseball club.
RKA led master planning, cost estimating, and design-build specification, then partnered with a contractor to deliver detailed design and construction. The world-class facility features reused Rogers Centre artificial turf in the outfield, covered dugouts, 500-seat bleachers with VIP seating, baseball-specific LED lighting, a batter's eye, bullpens, batting tunnels, and a scoreboard. From master plan to opening day in fall 2022, RKA delivered a facility built for high-level competition and community pride.
