RK & Associates was retained by the Town of Orangeville to redevelop Harvey Curry Park — delivering a vibrant new destination for families and community members of all ages.
The project replaced aging playground and splash pad infrastructure with a new senior and junior playground, a recirculating splash pad, and a prefabricated sun shelter. Awarded in July 2019, our team moved quickly — producing two full schematic design concepts and hosting a community 'Pop Up' engagement event at the park, all within two weeks.
The recirculating splash pad features a smart remote monitoring system that tracks water usage, pH, chemical levels, and temperature in real time — automatically alerting parks maintenance staff via a web portal and handheld devices to ensure ongoing health unit compliance.
