RK & Associates was retained by the Toronto District School Board to completely reimagine the outdoor environment at Gracefield Public School — delivering a comprehensive redesign of the schoolyard, two kindergarten spaces, and parking lots.
The revitalized schoolyard features a new playground blending natural and manufactured play elements, passive seating areas and trails, outdoor classrooms, and asphalt line painting games. The two dedicated kindergarten spaces were thoughtfully designed with shaded sand play areas, educational gardens, seating, and interactive line painting games — creating engaging, age-appropriate environments that support learning and play outdoors.
