Ian Alexander, OALA, CSLA

Personal Profile
Ian has over three years experience working in landscape architecture and has recently received his full membership with OALA as a licensed Landscape Architect. Ian has gained experience with both private and municipal practice. Ian’s focus is on the design, tendering and construction administration of school yards, municipal parks, and athletic facilities.  His project experience includes assisting senior landscape architects with the design, tender and contract administration of projects ranging from $200K to over $10M. 

This is Ian first landscape architecture position since graduating from the University of Guelph in May of 2023.  Though new to the professional field he has already gained experience in civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineering as well as architectural design through the projects he has been involved with.  He uses this knowledge to effectively work with other members of each project to ensure that projects are thoughtfully designed and meet the needs of his clients.

When he is not at the office, Ian can be found at the local rink or field where he still plays hockey and soccer and coaches local soccer teams or walking his dogs on local trails and parks in his community. An avid participant in athletic endeavours of all sorts he not only designs facilities for communities, he is an active user of his developments and takes exceptional pride in what he designs for where he works and plays.
