Derek is a Landscape Architect driven by creating vibrant landscapes that unite and energize communities. With over 17 years of experience, he specializes in designing sport fields, urban parks, and trails.

 

As a project manager, Derek leads multidisciplinary teams through large-scale projects from concept to construction. His collaborative approach enables him to see the big picture while crafting creative solutions that meet both client objectives and community needs. His expertise in graphic technologies brings complex designs to life, making them accessible and compelling for clients, stakeholders, and the public.

 

Derek approaches every project with commitment and innovation, ensuring each design reaches its full potential through thoughtful, functional solutions.

 

Outside work, Derek embraces the landscapes he helps create—hiking, canoeing, and backcountry camping with his wife, two daughters, and their dogs. His personal pursuits include running, golf, and hockey.
